Inside Sales - Development Program

We are initiating a program for recent graduates from college who would like to embark on a sales career.  We at Seeq intend to pick a couple of 'rock star' candidates and see if we can accelerate their careers through mentoring and rapid promotion if the performance warrants.  The progression in roles inside Seeq will follow the following trajectory:

  • Inside Sales -- Perform background research and call leads to determine if meetings with our sales executives are warranted.  Smaller accounts we will try to close via phone meetings.  Larger accounts will require visits from our sales executive team.
  • Inside Sales for Enterprise Accounts -- Work on the largest accounts that will have the largest potential to be valuable to Seeq.  Will team with our Sales Executives, Account Managers, and Account Executives to drive results.
  • Account Manager -- Will be assigned a dozen or more accounts from Seeq's portfolio and will work as the project manager to develop and nurture these accounts.
  • Account Executive -- Will graduate to assist on Seeq's Largest Accounts that require multi-phase and complex management
  • Sales Executive -- Field sales executive responsible for landing major accounts.
  • Enterprise Sales Executive -- Field sales executive responsible for landing and developing the largest accounts. Enterprise sales executives have commissions well into 6 figures.

It is our belief that we can develop the right individuals through this path in 5 years.  

The ideal candidates:

  • Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Have self-identified as being salesman and want to develop and hone their skills.
  • Applicable degree in business, marketing, psychology, or other useful field.
  • Have experience in a sales environment and appreciates some of the challenges to close a deal.
  • Has the confidence to persist even when faced with adversity.
  • Coachable and willing to learn from the mentors at Seeq.  Able to learn from our best, yet has the capacity to adapt the best ideas into their own style.

This position will be issued equity (stock options).  We are organized as a virtual company with a headquarters in Seattle, WA.  We use state-of-the-art online collaboration tools for development and corporate functions.  Employees can be based virtually anywhere as long as they have access to a good office environment, high-bandwidth connectivity, and willingness to travel for team link-ups several times a year for a few days as well as to customer sites for 2-day visits about once per month.
