Strategic Analyst & Proposal Manager

Remote/Virtual, US Full-time Allows remote

Seeq is a data analytics startup. What makes us different is that we’re going after a big market that’s often overlooked by tech companies: industrial process data. Think pharmaceutical manufacturers, wind farms, and energy companies with tons of equipment and sensors. We’re applying a unique mix of technologies and a deep understanding of the problems faced by these industries to build and refine a product that's a huge leap over existing tools and methodologies.

Our company is 100% remote. You can work anywhere in the US (we're staying in compatible time-zones for now). We use a variety of collaboration tools, like Zoom and Slack, which makes us feel like we’re in the same building together. We have a stacked team of mutually supportive and talented team members that love to collaborate, teach each other new tricks, and build products that far exceed our customers’ expectations.

Seeq is looking to hire an experienced business analyst that will help translate the operational success Seeq customers achieve into clear arguments for adoption throughout customer organizations.  Example tasks might include the following:

  • Develop analytical models predicting ROI for various Seeq tools in different market segments and verticals.
  • Translate derived analytical models into structures that might be directly added to Seeq software.
  • Develop content for brochures, PowerPoint slides, and customer proposals.
  • Manage proposals for significant opportunities for software subscriptions, services, and/or projects.
  • Lead initiatives to capture new business or expand business opportunities.
  • Write white papers or present webinars that help to validate Seeq’s business results.
  • Perform analyses to help Seeq prioritize new technical initiatives and business pursuits.

The ideal candidate is likely to have the following background or skills or the equivalents:

  • Several years of experience as a business analyst.
  • Experience in process industries like oil & gas, power & energy, food & beverage, chemical, pharma & biotech, mining, and/or specialty manufacturing.
  • Could have held operational roles in engineering, production, sales, or marketing.
  • Appropriate academic preparation including undergraduate, graduate, and/or online courses.
  • Excellent communication skills including writing, editing, and speaking.
  • Ability to listen to the customer, to the market, and to the competition to help formulate business initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within organizations to achieve influence while building consensus.
  • Recognized by her/his peers to be a top performer known for adding creativity and energy to every role.
  • Motivated to work for a start-up on the ground-floor and to help to build an innovative company that is solving critical problems for its customers.
